The Great Mozart Birthday Bash! Introduce your child to the joys of music in a new family friendly concert series presented by the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. The Great Mozart Birthday Bash featuring a Dueling Comedy Spoof is a hilarious take on Mozart's funniest little opera, The Impresario, tailored for young audiences. The concert event is presented in honor of Mozart’s 250th birthday. The noted composer was born January 27, 1756, in Salzburg, Austria. Before and after the concert, children may visit the instrument "petting zoo," where they can touch and learn about the instruments used in the Orchestra, hear demonstrations and meet the musicians. The "petting zoo" opens at 10:15 a.m. and remains open 30 minutes after the concert ends. The concert takes place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, in the Cliburn Recital Hall, at 330 E. Fourth Street, one block east of Bass Performance Hall (in the Maddox-Muse building). Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children age 12 and under. To order, call 817-665-6000 or visit the Ticket Office at 330 E. Fourth Street, Suite 200. (No website orders.) Current
