Billy Bob's Texas Hits 25 Great Years in the Stockyards
By Douglas Harman, President and CEO, Fort Worth Convention & Visitors Bureau

A significant anniversary is coming up Saturday, April 1, in the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards. On that day, Billy Bob's Texas, widely known as the “World's Largest Honky Tonk," celebrates 25 years as one of the nation's leading entertainment venues. And in legendary style, country music superstar Willie Nelson takes the stage to lead the festivities.

I join millions of fans worldwide, literally, that tip my hat to this American original. For 25 years, Billy Bob's stage has welcomed music's leading performers. From Alabama to ZZ Top and practically everyone in between, the club has played host to country music's greatest acts, rising stars, and regional talent. But in addition to country music, you can catch other types of musical acts throughout the year, too. It's no wonder that Billy Bob's has garnered eight – count ‘em, eight – Country Music “Club Of The Year" awards.

Billy Bob's has been featured in countless news articles and TV shows promoting travel to Fort Worth. In fact, it's one of North Texas' most recognized attractions. Tour groups regularly program stops at the club. Convention groups meeting in Fort Worth find Billy Bob's one of the most unique and memorable locations for a night out in Cowtown. And visitors from near and far put a stop at the club on their itineraries. Of course, local residents of the Fort Worth-Dallas area are fortunate – with Billy Bob's in our own community, we can visit often for the great concerts and fun year-round.

During your visit to Fort Worth, don't miss a fun night out at Billy Bob's Texas. You can catch live bull riding in their arena, arcade games and pool, see hand prints from country music's greatest names on the Wall Of Fame, two-step on a Texas-sized dance floor, and, of course, hear some great music from the club's famous stage. Throughout the Historic Stockyards, you'll find all kinds of great Western sites, shops and restaurants, too.

Congratulations Billy Bob's on 25 great years in Fort Worth. We look forward to many more memorable years. To learn more about the club and the 25th anniversary, go to www.billybobstexas.com or call 817-624-7117.
