An Evening to Remember The Tony Award winning film and stage actress, dancer, and singer was honored when invited to lend her presence to the annual fundraising gala. She is an avid supporter of numerous causes including the promotion of Aids Awareness, Women's and Children's Abuse Prevention, and the promotion of the performing arts. "Alzheimer's disease is another of my concerns because it can strike any of us and we all need to be aware of it," Buckley said. I'm delighted to serve in helping raise money for such community needs." Bonnie Rundell, a professional entertainer and Alzheimer's Association Auxiliary member will serve as MC for the event. "I'm the Entertainment and Public Relations representative so I get to help present each year's fundraiser," Rundell said. "This year's event will be extra special. In addition to Betty Buckley, we will feature a Caribbean style buffet, some wonderful auction items, and dancing to the music of a great band called Flip Side. I will be performing magic and variety acts throughout the evening. Our mascot will be Freda Forget-Me-Not, a performer costumed as a baby elephant. Freda has been the toast of the gala in past years." The proceeds of the event will benefit the North Texas Chapter's valuable information and support service. Alzheimer's Disease affects more than 4.5 million Americans and is the fourth leading cause of death in adults, after heart disease, cancer, and stroke. So if you're looking for an evening of entertainment to benefit an important and worthy cause, plan on attending An Evening with Betty Buckley. It is sure to be an evening you won't soon forget.
