Thomas Kinkade’s art returns to Fort Worth with a gallery in the heart of Sundance Square. The gallery carries Kinkade’s work exclusively and offers an extensive collection of his pieces. The experienced staff are considered authoritative sources of information on Kinkade’s art work.

Thomas Kinkade is America’s most collected artist, a painter-communicator whose tranquil, light-infused paintings have delighted millions over the years. As the foremost “Painter of Light” he uses techniques practiced by a distinguished group of 19th Century American artists known as Luminists. Whether his images are romantic cottages, vibrant cityscapes, cozy Victorian cottages or majestic landscapes, Kinkade’s paintings radiate light. He explains, “I try to create paintings that are a window for the imagination. If people look at my work and are reminded of the way things once were or perhaps the way they could be, then I’ve done my job.”

Devoted to his wife and children, Kinkade strives to lead a balanced life centered on family values. He creates “love notes” by hiding the letter “N” in all his paintings as a tribute to his wife Nanette. His four daughters also find their own messages of love from their father since their names and images often appear in many of his paintings.

Born in Sacramento, Kinkade grew up in Placerville, California. From there he went to the University of California at Berkeley and from there went on to the Art Center of Design in Pasadena where he remained for four years. He spent the summer after graduation on a sketching tour with a college friend which resulted in a best-selling, instructional book, The Artist’s Guide to Sketching.
