Cats August Promotions at LaGrave Field

The Fort Worth Cats have experienced an unusual season this year. The back-to-back champion Cats had nine games rained out at home through early July. The Cats did not play a game on the Fourth of July, but did have a huge fireworks show at LaGrave Field that packed the ballpark. An estimated crowd of over 6,000 fans was inside LaGrave Field while a crowd of about 10,000 lined up outside the ballpark on N. Main and Northside Drive as well as downtown Fort Worth hoping to view the 30-minute show.

The Cats have a number of special promotional nights planned for the month of August including a visit from Hall of Fame pitcher Fergie Jenkins on Monday, Aug. 6 and Tuesday, Aug. 7. Fergie will be signing autographs for Cats’ fans on both nights.

Other events at that home stand include TCU Purple Pride Night Aug. 6, Elvis & the Oldies Night with a Replica Jersey Giveaway Aug. 7, and the Spitball Gang & Oversized Baseball Card Giveaway Aug. 8. The Cats play the final six games of the regular season at LaGrave Field from August 20-25 with a number of unique events planned including Kids Night & Bicycle Giveaway with a post-game fireworks show Aug. 20, Southwest Conference Night is Aug. 21, the Zooperstars Aug. 22, Las Vegas Suitcase Party and Johnson County Night Aug. 23, the Last Splash of Summer and Wise County Night Aug. 24, and Fan Appreciation night with fireworks and Team Poster Giveaway Aug. 25.
