2003 World Championship Appaloosa Show

Appaloosa Horse enthusiasts from around the world will be in Fort Worth for the 2003 World Championship Appaloosa Show at Will Rogers Memorial Center Oct. 31-Nov. 8.

For over 40 years, the World Championship Appaloosa Show has brought together top Appaloosas in the competitive arena. This year continues that tradition as riders and handlers exhibit the Appaloosa's bold color, athleticism, sound temperament and versatility in a variety of classes. Contestants will compete for trophies, prizes and cash awards as well as for the World's Best Appaloosa and Leading Breeder titles. The top five Open exhibitors in this event will divide a payout of $5,000 donated by Sergeant's Western World. Twin Cities Featherlite will also award a $1,000 purse to the top two Non-Pro exhibitors.

Special events begin with the Team Penning event Sun., Nov. 2nd. Other unique classes include horse-against-horse games, Native American Heritage, and Men's and Ladies' Western Pleasure. On Wed., Nov. 5 is the World Championship Appaloosa Sale. The sale, located in the James L. & Eunice West Sale Arena, has two sessions: 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

The Toys for Tots Performance is Fri., Nov. 7 at 6 p.m. Sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps, this event provides underprivileged children in the area a better holiday season. Contestants and spectators are encouraged to provide a toy or a cash donation as admission to the event.

And shoppers can explore the 2003 World Appaloosa Trade Show which is open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Show classes begin daily at 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. ADMISSION IS FREE!
