Looking for Fall Color? The Japanese Garden in the Fort Worth Botanic Garden is the Fall Color Destination for the Metroplex. No need to travel to New England or Arkansas to see blazing reds, oranges and yellows of the Japanese Maples, Oaks, and Sweet Gums, they are here. All this color forms a backdrop for the main season of activities in the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. At the Fall Plant Sale you may purchase those hard-to-find plants, garden art, and featured roses and begonias. The Garden staff will be available to assist with your decision making and to give helpful hints on how to ensure success with your fall plantings.
The Japanese Garden activities continue with the Fall Festival. Japanese entertainers, crafts, food, art, music and, of course, martial arts, authentic tea ceremonies and Bonsai demonstrations that will provide a weekend of fun and family activities. More than 30 years ago the Japanese Garden arose from a trash filled ravine to become the world renowned garden of traditional Japanese design it is today.
