“Dodger” Throws His Hat into the Presidential Ring

The Fort Worth Cats will have a couple of unique nights in July revolving around the team’s mascot, Dodger. The Cats will hold “Dodger for President Night” on July 10 when the team takes on the Pensacola Pelicans at 7:05. The organization has done this every election year and it’s been a big hit at LaGrave Field. Dodger will make a pitch for fans to write-in his name come election time and he will be getting help that night from the Rally Cats. Dodger’s Birthday Party takes place on July 17 when the Cats take on the Wichita Wingnuts at 7:05. Fans of all ages are encouraged to make it out to LaGrave Field that night to watch mascots from around the area celebrate Dodger’s birthday. The Cat’s legendary mascot will be given a number of unique gifts on his birthday. The Cats have some fireworks shows planned this month highlighted by the biggest fireworks show in North Texas on the Fourth of July. There will also be post-game fireworks shows Saturday, July 5 and Sunday, July 6 when the Cats take on Wichita at 7:05. Families will want to be at historic LaGrave Field on Friday, July 18 as it’s the Principal Financial Family Fun Fest (including post-game fireworks) with baseball-themed games in the parking lot before the Cats take on Pensacola at 7:05. The Principal Financial Family Fun Fest features great games in a carnival-like atmosphere. A couple of other unique nights in late July include the 120th Anniversary Poster Night (celebrating the team’s former great players and Hall of Famers) on July 19 and the Team Card Set night on July 31.
